Free Debt Management Program
A free debt management program isn't always free. But that doesn't mean a free debt management program is bad.
Free Debt Management Program
"Free Tibet!" Okay, that's a nice sentiment, but we're talking about a free debt management program on this page.
When Free Isn't Really Free
When you hear of a free debt management program, you're probably tempted to see what it's all about, but you're probably also very skeptical too. Rightfully so. It's good to be skeptical of anything involving your credit and finances. When you hear about afree debt management program, chances are what's free is the initial consultation, your first month's fee (if it's set up on a monthly fee structure) or you get free credit counseling. None of those are a bad thing, but calling it a free debt management program because of this is a little misleading. That alone may make you skeptical of the debt management company. But it's just a marketing gimmick. As long as you know what the fee schedule is and what is expected of you, a free debt management program isn't all bad. In fact, sometimes their fees are actually lower.
Finding a good debt management program means finding a good debt management company for sure, so do some research on any company you're interested in. Sure, this takes time, but it's worth it in the end if you want to find the best debt management program to get you out of debt. In most cases, free or not, a good debt management program will get you out of debt in about five years. This may sound like a long time when you want to get out of debt immediately, if not sooner, but when you consider it would take you 13 years or more to get out of debt on your own, five years is a walk in the park! The reason they can cut your time down is because most debt management programs function by getting you huge reductions in interest rates. (You've heard interest rates are killer--there's your proof!) To learn more, check it out for yourself!
